Discipleship
We define discipleship as intentional programming that points students to know and follow Jesus for a lifetime.
Over the years, discipleship has looked different at Harambee depending on the season. In 2023, recognizing a need to be in the culture, but not a part of it, our witness is more subversive than before.
Strategic Partnerships
We are blessed to be able to partner with Pasadena Unified School District to have two of our programs be based out of public schools. As such, there is a strict, “no proselytizing” rule that we must abide by in efforts to be a good neighbor.
Therefore, most of our discipleship happens by our students experiencing the Hands and Feet of Jesus before we ever utter the name of Jesus.

After the Bell

On the other hand, we also have some programming on site at Harambee’s Community Center, and when students are here, we are free to encourage them in the faith as we see fit.
